Mary Kay Patton, quality assurance specialist/project manager for IEBC and a key member of its analytics staff, is responsible for implementing and supporting the test process, data validation process, policies, procedures and best practices to ensure the highest quality of all IEBC data reporting products, including In-SITES® Tools and other web-based products. Her past experience includes strategic planning and oversight of projects in multiple states. Prior to joining IEBC, Patton was senior director of research and technology for the California Partnership for Achieving Student Success (Cal-PASS). Other statewide responsibilities have included serving as coordinator for the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) for the California Community Colleges System Office and as a health program specialist with a data policy focus for the maternal and child health branch of the California Department of Health Services.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in social science with areas of concentration in sociology, economics, and government and a master’s degree in public policy and administration from Sacramento State University.
