The Caring Campus Academy (CCA) ensures that all faculty, staff and administrators understand the importance of fostering a sense of belonging for students AND understand the ways in which they can help to foster this sense of belonging.
Outcome:
Every faculty, staff and administrators engages with Caring Campus with each and every student.
The Why
- Colleges want to institutionalize and sustain Caring Campus, but it can be challenging to accomplish this goal with every employee Create a culture of caring across your institution
- Most colleges do not have formal training for employees to help them understand and practice the Caring Campus behavioral commitments
- The CCA offers a high-quality, low-cost approach to ensure that all faculty, staff and administrators are ready to engage in Caring Campus behavioral commitments
The What
- Faculty, staff and administrators will be introduced to the research, practice and outcomes of Caring Campus through two to five sessions held over Zoom
- Faculty, staff and administrators will help create a caring culture at their institution by learning about the behavioral commitments and reporting back to their colleagues about their experiences throughout the training
Time and Resources:
- Faculty, staff and administrators commit to attend 2 to 5, 1 to 1.5 hour sessions over the course of one semester
- Costs range from $250 – $450 per individual participant (for CCN members), depending on the size of the institutions
- Discounts will be given to colleges that send 10 or more employees
- Non CCN members cost is $399-$599, depending on the size of the institution
