Jordan E. Horowitz

Caring Campus Coach

Jordan Horowitz, former IEBC chief operating officer,  has shifted his work to Caring Campus where he has been enjoying an increasing connection to the implementation of Caring Campus-Staff and Caring Campus-Faculty.  He is an IEBC Caring Campus coach as well as a co-author of Creating A Data-Informed Culture In Community Colleges, published by Harvard Education Press.

Jordan has extensive experience in improving student success, educational partnerships, and evaluation research. He has written extensively on issues facing education stakeholders and is a frequent presenter on improving data use, student connectedness, and related topics. He also coaches colleges to improve their student success rates.

He transitioned to IEBC after serving as senior director for special projects for the California Partnership for Achieving Student Success (Cal-PASS). Prior to Cal-PASS, he was a senior project director in evaluation research at WestEd where he directed evaluations of numerous local, state and federal programs.

Horowitz earned his bachelor’s degree in human development and public policy and master’s degree in counseling psychology from Northwestern University, and a master’s degree in applied social psychology from Claremont Graduate School.
