Dr. Chris Hill is a higher education coach whose recent work focuses on assisting colleges with the use of data for improving student success and achieving equitable outcomes, as well as with the design and implementation of Guided Pathways. She has served as a coach for Achieving the Dream, California Guided Pathways, AACC Pathways 2.0, and Leading from the Middle.

Over a twenty-year community college career, Dr. Hill spent thirteen years as geology faculty and served in faculty leadership as a curriculum co-chair and Academic Senate president. She also served seven years as an administrator in instruction, student services, and institutional effectiveness, which helps her bring a broad-based and student-focused perspective to her work. Chris engages faculty, classified staff, administrators and students in meaningful discussions on how the college can improve processes and/or alter approaches and helps them coalesce the ideas generated into a coherent plan for implementation and evaluation.

Dr. Hill holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Geological Sciences from San Diego State University, a Master of Education degree from Azusa Pacific University, and a Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from the University of Southern California. In 2013, she was the recipient of the Distinguished Faculty award from Grossmont College and the John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Award from the League for Innovation.
